Ducted airconditioningfor Perth’sdouble‑brickhomes.

We calculate the heat load room by room in your roof space, quote one fixed price, and install it with our own crew. Joondalup to Fremantle, six days a week.

01 — What we install

Most of our work is one job: ducted reverse cycle, in the roof space, in a double‑brick house.

  • 01

    Ducted reverse cycle

Whole-home zoned systems run through the roof space. The work we do most, and the reason most people call us.

    10–20 kW · 4–8 zones
  • 02

    Multi-head split

One outdoor unit, up to five indoor heads. For homes where a low-pitch roof or a raked ceiling rules ducted out.

    5–14 kW · max 5 heads
  • 03

    Single wall split

One room done properly — core-drilled penetration, sealed and flashed, brackets into brick, conduit run straight.

    2.5–7.1 kW
  • 04

    System replacement

Dead unit, sound ductwork. We pressure-test and inspect what is already up there before we quote a full re-duct.

    1 day on site
  • 05

    Zoning & extensions

Running an existing system into a new rear extension, adding a zone, or replacing a controller that has given up.

    Quoted per zone

No house brands, no subcontracted crews, and no 24-hour breakdown line. We would rather install twelve systems a month properly than thirty in a hurry.

02 — Perth homes

Brick holds heat. That is the whole problem.

Most of Perth is built from two skins of brick with a cavity between them. Through summer those walls take everything a forty-degree day gives them and let it back out slowly, hours after sunset.

It is why the house feels worse at nine in the evening than it did at two in the afternoon, and why a system sized off floor area alone runs flat out all evening and still never catches up.

West-facing glass makes it worse. So does an uninsulated roof space sitting above sixty degrees through February — with your ductwork in it. Both are measurable, and both change the kilowatts you need.

Fig. 02 — Heat lag

Outside air peaks at 4pm. Your brick walls peak at 8.

Indicative profile for a February day in the metro area — double brick, tiled roof, no mechanical cooling. The walls keep releasing heat long after the Fremantle Doctor has come through, which is why an undersized system never catches up in the evening.

What we measure before we quote a kilowatt

  • —Ceiling insulation, R-value
  • —Glazing area and orientation
  • —Roof space depth and access
  • —Ceiling height and room volume
  • —Wall construction and cavity
  • —Switchboard and supply capacity
  • —Condition of any existing ductwork
  • —Distance to the coast

04 — How it works

Four steps, and you know the price at step two.

The same order every time, whether it is one wall split or a six-zone ducted system.

  1. We get in the roof

Ceiling height, insulation, glazing and orientation, roof-space access, switchboard capacity. A heat load calculated room by room — not a kilowatt figure guessed off your floor area.

    45–60 min · no charge
  2. One-page fixed price

The system, the kilowatts, the zone plan, the outlet positions, what is included and what is not. The number does not move unless you change the scope.

    2 business days
  3. Install day

Drop sheets down, roof access set up, penetrations core-drilled and flashed, condensate run to a soak well. Single-storey homes are usually one day; two-storey and tight roof spaces are two.

    1–2 days on site
  4. Commission and hand over

Airflow balanced zone by zone, refrigerant charge verified, controller set up on your phone, certificate of electrical compliance issued. Old unit and packaging leave on our truck.

    Same afternoon

Call the office
Can you duct a double-brick home?

Yes — almost every home we do is double brick. Nothing runs inside the walls. The fan coil, the ductwork and the zone motors sit in the roof space, and the outlets are cut into the ceiling. The only brick work is one core-drilled penetration for the refrigerant lines to the outdoor unit.

What size system do I actually need?

That comes out of a heat load calculation: room volumes, ceiling insulation, glazing area and which way it faces, and how much roof space you have. Perth’s west-facing glass and double-brick heat lag change the answer a lot. Anyone quoting kilowatts from your floor area alone is guessing, and an oversized system short-cycles, never dehumidifies properly and costs more to run.

We are close to the water. Does that change anything?

Within about 5 km of the coast we specify an anti-corrosion treated coil, stainless fixings and a powder-coated stand, and we keep the condenser off the prevailing salt-spray side of the house where the layout allows. It adds a few hundred dollars and adds years to the outdoor unit.

Do I need a three-phase supply?

Most single-storey ducted systems up to about 16 kW run on single phase. Larger systems, or a home already close to its switchboard limit, may need a supply upgrade through Western Power. We check the board at the site visit and tell you before you commit, not on install day.

What warranty comes with it?

Five years parts and labour from the manufacturer on the brands we install, and 7 years on our workmanship — penetrations, brackets, duct joins, drainage and electrical. Both are in writing on the quote.

When should I book for summer?

Book by the end of October. From December to February we are typically three to four weeks out, and every February a week of forty-degree days puts us further behind. Winter installs are the same price and the roof space is survivable.

Do you charge for quotes?

No, not within the metro area. You get a written fixed price and a zone plan whether or not you go ahead with us.

Which brands do you install?

Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu and Panasonic. We do not sell a rebadged house brand, and we will tell you when the cheaper of two units is the right one for the job.
